i blew my upper radiator hose off this morning on my way to work. should i be worried for any head damage illinois is cold! right now so the temp gauge didnt go over their normal running temp since i live less than 2 miles from my work. i ran it for about 5 mins while i added antifreeze as needed. not much was needed though.

Your cooling system is designed to cool the engine block not the head.

Regardless, as long as you didn't overheat you should be good in my opinion.
