Default Roll cage requirement?

Was just wandering what the average quartermile time is that you are required to have a rollcage, like when participating in test and tune. I know it might very from track to track but just wanted to know what the average time is. Thanks

Can it be a bolt-in cage? Does it need to be a 6p/8p or will a 4p do?

Is that just in Cali or are those pretty much national rules?

11.49 minimum a 6pt bar, if you count the d bars that makes 8.
regardless of e.t. at 135mph 9.99 rules apply and at that point a 10 pt cage is necessary..

thats all fine and ok, but 11.49 at 135 mph requires a 10 point cage. at 135 mph, ALL 9.99 and lower e.t. rules apply.

I've always wondered if a bolt-in role cage is allowed by NDRA/NHRA? In all reality bolts have better integrity than welds over time(in terms of vibration twisting, cracking, ect...) I just saw the above post, but I wonder why bolt-in is not allowed?

lol, depending on the welds and bolts used sure, but 99% of the time no. I'll take a strong TIG bead over a couple of bolts any day of the week.
