First off, i've got an H22 in an EG w/ an M2A4 tranny (so non-lsd)

So, whenever i turn right i get a clicking noise from the tranny..... sounds like a bad axle.

The axles are fine.... i just got back from the shop and we changed and checked them out a few times.... so i'm sure it's not the axles.

We parked the car and left it in first gear..... then we rocked the car back and forth and could hear a clicking noise.

Diff? Gears binding?
What do you guys think? Anyone ever come across this???

 

You need new axle(s).

 

as i've already said, we've gone over the axles

it's a local shop in town and he knows what he's doing, he builds axles for a LOT of people and a LOT of honda race cars.... i sat there with the owner as he ripped apart my axles and slapped new parts on (inners & outers), then i went for a ride and tested them with him.... so, that's why i say, i'm sure the problem's not the axles....

 

you check all the motor mounts? And lower tie bar?

 

yep.... when i took it to check out my axle, he checked all the suspension and mounts with me, just to be sure it wasn't the axle..... he didn't want his axles to look bad, so he ruled out everything he could just to prove to me that it wasn't the axle

my tranny made that same noise. sounds like axles clicking, but it made it whenever i was in second gear. turned out that my tranny was goin bad, and 30 miles later on my attempt to make it home, the whole thing blew and seized up.

 

well, hopefully that doesn't happen LOL!

might be a blessing in disguise tho..... my clutch is in need of being changed soon, so i can buy an LSD tranny and a new clutch

altho, i wanted to do H2B.... hmm..... we'll have to see how long this tranny will hold up
