Finally got a Sparco!
I will most definately post pics later, but up until recently I was funning a VIS silver CF fixed back bucket. I had a few issues trying to get it all mounted up properly and finally had it in place.
As you may know though, a fixed back seat in a daily without a roll bar and harness is not really a good thing. It fit well and was pretty comfy, but left a little to be desired for everyday use.
Well yesterday, I was able to pass by a local fabricator that also sells Sparco equipment. He happened to have one seat, (not sure what style) that was discontinued and was sitting in his shop as a display for sale at $450. It was in great condition and had a very small tear in the wear pad on the thigh support on the left side, but other than that, mint!
It was pretty comfy, so my wife bought it for me...he sold it to us for $400!
So I went ahead and dropped it into the CRX last nite and i have to say it's damn nice. The only problem is that with side mount seats, you have a few options as far as adjusting how far forward the seat sits.
With the bottom mount, you lose that. So me being 5' 4 1/2", I lost a few inches of forward adjust, and my wife being 5' has to slide the seat all the way forward and tilt forward to be able to reach the pedals.
I may either have the base redrilled to accomodate a better forward position, or drill the rails to add about an inch of adjustment.
Either way, I'm stoked and the seat is real comfy.
Again, i'll post pics tonite.
