6th gen : OEM cluster & mileage display .... HELP
I have a 2001 Honda Accord EX sedan AT
This is actually my wifes car.
She was driving it yesterday & late last night when she started the car she noticed that the gauge cluster lights came on so she could see speed & rmp ect just fine BUT the milage display that normally lights up as well did not
Everything still works fine, trip setting & milage still show & read but the back light for the display does not come on.

1) Does anyone know how to fix this?
2) Anyone have the same issue before? if so what was the solution?
3) Can that small display have a light that can be simply replaced?

it's a very simple fix and the bulb is easily replaceable. Lucky for you the 6th Gen accord gauge clusters are very easy to remove.

1. Lower steering wheel all the way down.
2. Remove the 2 Philips head screws at the top of the surrounding bezel. Pull out the bezel. (Bottom is held on by 2 snap-on clips. Just pull with some force, it'll come off w/o breaking)
3. Remove the 4 screws holding the entire gauge cluster in. You should be able to see them well enough.
4. Rotate the top of the cluster towards you, so that you can reach and unplug the 3 connectors on the back of the cluster. Once unplugged, pull the entire gauge cluster out.
5. The bulb you need to change is directly behind the display. Twist and remove.
