How to INSTALL s2000 pedals a.k.a JDM ITRx!
Well I did this last year when this TOPIC was real hot. I never posted the how-to becuase I wanted to include pics. I still don't have any becuase my integra was stolen 5 months ago. STRIPPED. (bodykit, rims, spoiler, seats) I didn't want it back. Still a very sensitive subject for me.
Anyhow....no one was willing to actually buy the S2K pedals and try. So I get the pedals from Honda...cost was almost $200 dollars. Comes with the whole pedal assembly - thats why they are so expensive. All you need is a drill, and a rivet gun. ($5 at home depot)
Well, the S2K pedal covers are held on with RIVETS. You just carefully drill out the rivets.
Next take your Integra pedal covers off. Put the S2k pedals in place of them and drill the hole-pattern into your integra assembly. The clutch, brake will fit perfectly. The Gas pedal you will have adjust it a little. Next...take your rivet gun and RIVET the pedal covers into place. ALL DONE!
So simple! When i first recieved the S2k assembly...i 75% took my whole integra pedal assembly, power steering apart to make it fit. I had know idea what i was doing
but, i wanted these SOBs in. Secondly...i went to a muffler shop to weld, the two assemblies together. Muffler guy was the one who said to rivet! smart harley davidson biker guy!
Also, don't worry about them getting stolen...because the only way to get them out is drilling. If you have $150 - 200 to blow on 3 pieces of thin aluminum, then get these pedals! They were the ****! I had the ITR **** and I had an artist paint the "A" on the steering wheel red. That was my interior - no pics sorry. If I find the roll of film i used....I will post.
Well...hope this helps and clears all about the S2K install...I'm posting pics of my car to bring some conclusion to the trauma of my stolen car.
Integras are the best cars in the import world, IMHO. The only car I don't get car sick when i'm a passenger.
I feel at home. Good luck guys...drive safe.
