went out riding today and on the backroad near my house I'm riding and all the sudden I notice some stuff on the road and as it becomes more clear to me I realize there's shattered glass all over the road and I couldn't avoid it. I cringed as I went through. Got to a place to pull over. made sure things were good and made sure no glass was still on them. Keep riding. get to my sisters... Drop some stuff off. Am getting back on my bike and I can't help but notice something smells terrible... Get on not thinking anything more about it and while I'm riding home I look down and see that a leaf is stuck to my boot... Go to flick it off and realize that it was dog crap that I stepped in!!! Got that crap all on my glove so I had to pull over and whiped my hand on the ground. Realized it had gotten on my rearset and left exhaust too... *sigh* well I'm manage with what I got and ride home with full intent on washing the bike when I get home. This however completely distracts me from the fact that I'm headed right for this broken glass again... Now I remembered it being in 1 lane but turns out it was in both... Ugh... Luckily I think I avoided getting any flats. Washed my gloves, shoes, and bike and all is well. Though my joe rocket gloves need to be retired... Doesn't help that my dog ran away today and my football team lost... *le sigh*

 

Oy! Sounds like a bad day man. Hope your dog comes back soon.

nah I chased the dog down in my civic. he went up to the state park that's up the road and across a major street... was gone about a half hour but it pissed me off good and worried the crap out of me too. he's like 11 so I wonder about his ability to avoid cars now... I think doggah partied too much



I got lucky with the glass not putting a hole in the tires too. (well we'll see when I wake up if they've gone down...) I have an extra set but that's more $$ to mount and just more stuff to deal with. I do need to find a new pair of gloves tomorrow too.

they're right in Wilmington with a small shop. I tried on my jacket there. Typically they have to order stuff in though cause their stock isn't too large
