Help! Auto seatbelts won't work in 91 sedan
Ok, my buddy has a 91 dx sedan. There is a problem with the automatic seatbelts. They won't go foward or back in the car. Looked for a fuse but couldn't find anything. Is there a seperate relay for these? Thanks.

Read the warranty. Unless you messed with it, they have to fix it.
You must either not have read the warranty, be easy to push around, and/or not have a good relationship with your local dealership. Some dealers will try to feed you BS because they don't want to fix it, but if you press the issue, they will.

I hate my auto seatbelts, I dont use em anymore. just get a harness, if PROPERLY installed, they are safer. TAKATA harness FTW!!

I took my CRX to honda because the seat belts werent retracting. They replaced them for free.
Because they are a safety items, honda HAS to repair them for free.

Yes and NO-Honda will replace belts for not retracting, like you had on the Rex.They cover the belts in the sedans, but not the electric components of the slider for them.

I would think that, if the sliders are keeping the safety belt from functioning properly, making it un-safe to operate the vehicle, they would have to cover that.

It seems that you have a problem with those that are trying to help, not only you, but the other people that will also read this post due to the same reason you asked for help, from people that owe you nothing...
If you want personalized help for your specific problem, go pay the dealer's mechanic to trouble shoot it for you since you lack aptitude to do it your self.
Otherwise sit back on your lazy *** and pray that someone with the knowledge you seek can see past your immature statements and poor attitude and answer it for you.

On the possitive terminal of the battery there should be a fuse block with 2 fuses. It's not unusual for them to get corroded and crap out. I dont beleive warranty will cover that if it is your problem.

Honda will warranty seat belts for normal failure. If the seat belt does not work because of dirt buildup on the D-ring or in the retractor, blown fuses, or because of a accident then Honda warranty will deny the claim once it's submitted and they ask for parts. Honda very rarely does call for seatbelts back so many dealers just do it anyway and the techs get the work. So really if one dealer says no, go to another and ask.

My 90 4-door had this problem, my fuse by the positive terminal was blown. Quick and easy fix.
