Default JDM Parking Pole Help!!

I already did a search for what I wanted to know but I did not show up...........................

I recently bought the jdm bumper pole and it came with just the pole/motor with two plugs coming out of it. I bought the plugs for the switch and it only plugs in to one of the two plugs that came w/ it. It included the switch, plug that goes in the fuse and a fuse.

The other plug from the pole itself had the wires cut and it is black and red which I am assuming is a ground and power.

The question is, I do need to wire up a relay to black/red wires or can I just fab it up and make one ground and one up to the battery terminal?

I don't understand why people have to be such asswipes all the time..... It is his money, and his car, so keep ignorant stuff like that to yourself.

OP: to awnser your question, red and black are usually reserved for power and ground. Wire the red to a fused and switched battery source, and ground the black on, and you are set.

What do you mean by red to a fused and switched battery source?

so with the red wire, attach a fuse thingy to it even though the button wires already has a fuse to the connection?

You want to be able to turn it on and off right?

And if it does not come with fuse protection, you will need to fuse it to prevent too much electrical flow that will burn it up, and possibly start a fire.

If you are, don't try to apologize, it doesn't do any good apparently.

i wouldn't think a relay is necessary in this case. just hook up the red to something, ie the switch, i'm sure the switch is 3/4 wire? the switch probably has a power switch, maybe a constant power and a ground and maybe an illum.

Theres 2 plugs from the parking pole

One plug i already have that cotains the switch button for the inside car that comes w/ a fuse and a fuse box plug. That part is done

Now theres another plug that contains the red/black wires. Do i need to wire up a relay from the red/black wires so it wont screw over the motor or can i just fab it up to the postive terminal/ground?

George for once i agree with you

As for the bumper pole, this could probably be like my wiring nightmare that was the power folding mirrors for my ep3

We ended up having to run a relay between the trigger and the mirrors.

Maybe the same goes for your "pole"

If you wanna hit me up later on AIM
AlphamaleNYC or PM me here, email me some pictures
AlphamaleNYC@aol.com and maybe we can draw up a diagram

Your partially correct, you might need a timed relay that will give it enough juice to go up and down whne you trigger it ( i had the mirrors on igntion start up and shut down with a cutoff switch) for winter months incase the mirrors ( or pole) would be froze and didnt wanna seize the motor on an expensive JDM part

I am interested in how to wire this as well. Someone mentioned using a timed relay. Where can you get one of these? Can you just use an automotive relay from Radioshack or something?

i tested mine on a 9v battery. It goes up and the motor keeps running until you unhook it from the battery. Same when going down.

There are 4 wires on the pole that i have. 2 sets: Bumper pole and lights. I tested it out with a 9 volt battery. They work.

So for the pole, + to + and - to - will make the pole go up. But when the pole is up all the way, the motor still keeps running. It wont stop until you take off the wires from the battery. To make it go down, you have to switch the wirings around: + to - and - to +. This allows the pole to go down. Again, if you leave the wiring on the battery, the motor keeps running.

What I need to figure out is how to stop the motor from doing so and how to make it go down without switching the wiring. The JDM Bumper Pole Switch only has 2 wires on the back of it: black and green.

So anybody know how to do this?

I wish it was that easy Reza but the plugs have 4 wires
