A ground wire is part of an electrical circut. Without it, you cannot complete the circut, and you get no power to your accessories, or whatever is electrical.

An atypical ground wire:

There are 3 main components to a simple electrical system: Power, ground, and load. Everything electrical has to have those 3 things.

Any questions?

That ground coming from the motor on the lower right side grounds usually to the radiator core support.

It grounds the engine to the chassis, which completes the gigantic circut that is your motor.

Uh, if you want a/c you need those lines.

Those are refrigerant lines. They carry R134A refrigerant to and from the compressor in your car. It is ALOT more complicated than that, one carries a high pressure gas, and the other carries a low pressure liquid, but both come from the same element inside the A/C system, the r134a freon. I won't get into that here, but that is why they are there.

You remove those, you will not have A/C.
