Just out of curiosity have you upgraded your valve train to survive about the factory set redline?

 

by upgraded valvetrain you mean type-r valve cover right?

LMAO! Yea, that's exactly what I meant. Everybody knows that a type-r valve cover allows you to rev to like 10K RPM.

Dont do it. By asking, we know right off the bat you dont have a built motor to handle these rev's, because you would know how to remove the limiter. You would also know your power drops off severly after redline on a stock motor.

Seriously...

1. It's not a simple process
2. Your motor will not like you for it, and not be able to handle it.
3. There is absolutely no positive effects, ESPECIALLY on the J30.

 

Your cam won't make any power at higher rpms.

 

Not a good idea on the V6 IMHO as redline is set at a point where valve float will not occur. If you go above that you have a good chance of floating your valves and smaking one on a piston.....
