Default H22A Engine and F22A Transmission Compatibility

Ok so I have a 1991 honda accord lx (m/t). I am considering doing an H22A engine swap, but I was wondering if I would need the complete swap including the new tranny, because there isn't anything wrong with mine (the stock f22a tranny). So my question is, will the H22A engine and F22A transmission work together. I am DESPERATLEY trying to get this straight so I can get started on the swapping process. Somebody please set me straight with some facts.

Appreciate it!

if you search you'll find half a million post about it.

yes everything mated up straight/clean/complete.

but it's kind of pointless to do it, since all the gear ratio is off, you spend some clunk on the motor, why half **** it now? not to mention the LSD trans that you could get just for a tad more money

unless you plan to boost, i don't see no reason why shouldn't you get the proper trans.

I would rather do that, and do it right, but I can't find an h22a trans for a decent price. It seems like the complete swaps with a trans are twice as much as just the engine itself, so I am stuck between a rock and hard place with what to do

Hi guys and gals, im new to here.
Got a few questions for evrybody im wanting to do a pretty extravagant conversion with my current prelude 92. Currently am just running the good ol F22A but have just come across a bit of money and i am trying to find a JDM Integra Type R engine and parts to swap into mine!!
Now the question is.. Is it going to fit into the bay nicely?? Is it going to be a "staright swap"?? And just keep in mind i am in Australia so might cost me a bit to get any engine parts from most of u in America

why would you bother with a b18c when the h22a is a straight swap?!

If your going to boost the car in the future keep the f22 tranny if not just keep saving for a complete swap with h tranny.

1) B-series motors won't have enough torque low enough in the power band.

2) Everything would be need to be custom-made to mount the motor and trans.

3) You'll have the same axle problems that Civic/Integra guys experience when using H- or F-series motors and trans in their cars.
