hey guys i have a little problem with a replacement distributor i bought the other day. But when i went n try installing it, i noticed that the one on my 92 accord has a 5th plug and the new one i bought doesn't. will it be a problem is i didn't plug the 5th one in? or is it for the wrong model?. Thanks

Thats the wrong Distributor for that car

The 92 Has A External Coil (thats where the 5th wire went)

After like 1991, The internal Coil distributors were having a heat problem, So they switched to an external Coil

That distributor is for a earlier year

Your car wont run with it

The actual housing should be the same, and the caps should interchange.
You'll need to open the new one and remove the coil, and reconfigure the wires.
It can be made to work, but you could always just go back to the salvage yard and explain the difference to them.
