Check your brakelines for kinks. Is it on one side or both?
Also check the oneway valve that goes to the brake booster. The arrow should point toward the engine.
Did you apply the hi temp grease to the caliper pins?
That is all for now

the brakes started locking up before i did anything with the brakes. they start locking up after about 15 mins of driving.(15 mins is time period i get off the freeway). i did use grease. and my brakelines dont have any serious looking damage or kinks. but they do look worn out. ill try changing those out and see what happens.
ok...I replaced calipers, proportioning valve, brake booster, one way valve, and baught a new master cylinder, and my front brakes are still locking up. I would be going down a hill in nuetral, and the car will slow to a stop.
I capped one end of the one way valve, so the hose frome the booster to the one way valve is open. This way id have to stop by using all muscle. Then i would go down a hill and it will roll down a hill like its suppose to.
Now im thinking i baught a faulty master cylinder or faulty brake booster. Or installed something wrong.
Is there any certain proceedure when installing a master cylinder or brake booster??? I cant figure this out

Did you replace the brake lines too?
Is this happening to just one wheel or what?
Old brake lines can crack internally and the rubber can flake off inside causing a one way check valve that can cause the caliper to lock up.
When your brakes are locked up, try cracking the bleeder screw on the faulty caliper. If it squirts good (with no brake pedal input) then the system likely has a clog that is holding pressure at the caliper all of the time.

does that make sense?

Are you sure its the fronts locking and not the rears? Just a question cause i know its happend before. But if its the front it does sound like its the master cylinder did you notice anything abnormal when you took off the cylinder was the rod bent from the brake pedal?
the brakelines are the only thing i did not replace yet.
ic, thanks for the info. i just ordered a set or ss brakelines.
KURUPTinc, i didnt notice any damage or anything wrong with the old mc
