what kind of car, what is done to the car?

You cant expect answers if you dont give enough info.

If you have a high compression engine and you used 89, you could have detonated and maybe fucked up a ring. Could be running rich. Cant really tell a good answer without knowing more about the car and what is done to it.

well monitor your coolent levels and inspect the oil and coolent for cross contamination. also...you stated it could be your pvc but really since your turbo'd i would highly suggest switching over to a catch can setup. who tuned the car? you? is it tuned? i would still highly suggest tuning for atleast 92 octane....running 89 is just not smart. how much boost you running? hope it's low....

ok what???? seriously you just finished saying that you just started running 89 octane in it now? most race fuel is well over 100 octane...then you start getting into alcohol and it goes up from there. if it's ment for 94 octane and you ran 89 in it.....detonation will have beaten the **** outta it and you would prolly notice it running like **** and making lots of noise....

exactly, if yours was tuned on "race gas" 89 octane would probably destroy your engine seeing as how real race gas octane is usually over 100. but if it was tuned for premium (91 or 93, because we only get 91 in cali ) then running 89 would definately be a bad idea.

Do a leakdown test. It'll tell you where your problem is coming from.

Have you been beating on the car since you put 89 in it? I'd reccomend running out the 89 by driving the car easily, then filling back up with premium before you really expletive something up.

Is it a roots or centrifugal style blower?

Well, get a leakdown test done & it should find the root of your problem.

If it's cracked it's probably best to just get another head.

Find out if it's the head or the block (looks like it's time for a new headgasket).
