Immobilizer???

ok i have a 97 gsr can i get the ignition switched to a newer teg one and have the immobilizer key or is there more too it? What all would be involved?

you have to program the key so the immobilizer system would recognize it.

This was asked only a few days ago. It would be possible by switching all of the dash wiring, ignition lock, ECU, etc. to the 00-01 version. It would not be worth it.
