235's on the EP3 chasis?
Hi Guys,
Looking to buy a set of alloys, really like a set of Enkei's which came off the evo 8 which are 235's
Do you think the wheels will rub?, the rims are 5 stud fitment and pretty sure they fit stud wise...
The car is a Honda Civic Sport 1.6 vtec, totally standard...not lowered or anything
Thanks!!
Alex

The 1.6 VTEC sport is an EP3, bud.
Without lowering the car, the 235's will fit, but if the car were lowered, forget about it.

235/40-17 does fit on a +45 offset rim. I'm close to getting a set myself.</TD></TR></TABLE>
Can you make a full turn with it? I thought when the wheel was turned all the way to one side that it would rub.

Technyne over at ephatch has a set of 17" +45 Rota Torques (Work Emotion copy) with 235/40-17's on them and, I think, says that they don't rub.
The sneaky thing is that the larger wheel diameter leaves more room for suspension clearance, like with the trailing arm in the rear.
Of course, you could go with wider in front than in the rear, too. The front needs more traction anyway, and even though you won't be able to rotate tires front-to-rear, you won't be replacing tires any more often, either.

I forgot he had those. My mistake.
