Default Magnaflow exhaust?

I am running a custom cat-back with 2.25" piping on my 96 Accord. I am looking at changing my Apex-i N1 muffler out for something without a lot of noise. I was reading the write up in the Basic Accord thread and found the Magnaflow has the sound quality I'm looking for. I am leaning to a canister style but I'm not opposed to the dual tip.

Does anyone have any experience with this brand? And I would like to see some installed pics on an Accord

Thanks

i think this is the best exhaust system you can buy. they produce great sound and are not restrictive at all. i had one on my 95 civic with a b16a, the exhaust sounded awesome!!, not loud and obnoxious though! very clean crisp sound!! i would get one if i can find one for sale for a good deal, they do cost alot with that being the only downfall!!
go for it!

My gf's 96 has the bolt on cat-back magnaflow system, sounds good and not too buzzy. I would say if you want the canister style then go with Borla as I've heard good things about them too.

That Magnaflow actually looks really good. I've seen some I don't like but that one looks good. Where did you get it? I think it would look pretty good on my car.

Thats the one I've seen previously which no offense to anyone that owns one but I don't like that one. It's just not my style but thats not to say it isn't a great muffler.

I tend to like it because it's ckose to the OEM look, just a little larger. Anyone know how this dual tip sounds?

Magnaflow is def best bang for your buck. Doesn't sound ricey like Ractive. Nice sound for cheaper than Apexi/HKS/Greddy. I believe Magnaflow got best torque results when tested against all brands

I forget where I got mine. About $400 for the whole cat-back set up. Mandrel bent 2.25" resonator, muffler, tip. All stainless.

I had an Apex'I RS catback on my '00 Accord and loved it. Quiet sound with a little bark at VTEC. I picked it up NEW from ebay for $250! The seller was dumping them cheap to make room for the WS series.

I have the single tip cat-back. It's great. If anything I'd say it's a really really really really quieter Spoon axle back from the DC2...lol. It doesn't sound ricey at all and compared to the stock it might look big and noticeable, but it's nothing drastic. I'm not exactly sure how it sounds outside the car, simply because I've never let anyone seriously run my car hard for me to hear it. The only tiny problem I have with it is that I can barely hear my VTEC, if anything from inside it sounds like it gets more quiet when VTEC goes off...that's just me. It's nothing big, you DO want your car quiet right? It's a good choice. My friend has the APEX'i N1 on his stock Civic EX Coupe with a Kragen short ram...totally ricey and I hate it (I said it to his face too). Overall it looks like a bigger stock exhaust.

Damn...I didn't see the dual tip on the Magnaflow site. Anyways if you have any questions about it just pm me or whatever. Btw the best deal I've seen for the single tip 2.25" cat-back is 472 (which is what I got mine for) and I think free shipping too.

i have the dual tip magnaflow muffler on my 2.3cl which has the same engine as the accord. i have the magnaflow 14815it has dual 3inch tips, but the 14816 have 3.5 inch tips. i had custom piping from the stock resonator 2.25 and it sounds pretty good. Its really low and i was suprised to hear that there was almost no drone when cruising on the freeway.

picture perhaps.

first thing first, apexi doesn't make a RS for your year

second, RS would be crazy loud unless you have a turbo.
