Hubcaps Melted?!
I just got a '90 Civic Si (all stock) and my wheels are heating up to the point of melting my hubcaps and when you pour water on them it steams off, it takes about 15-20 minutes of driving for them to heat up, has anybody had this happen to them? Also the guy that sold me the car had a new brake booster put in, if that makes a differance.
your brake calipers are seized up, or your wheel bearings are shot. After driving for a while, does it feel like the car wants to slow more than it should after your release the accelerator pedal? After driving for ten minutes or so, jack the car up and try to move the front wheels; if they are stuck, try cracking the bleeder valve on the brake caliper (doesn't matter which side), and if the wheel becomes easier to turn, the problem exists in the brake caliper. The caliper piston is seized in its bore, and releasing pressure on the back of it should move the piston back, allowing the wheel to be turned more freely. I would recommend replacement of your front brake calipers, as well as a brake fluid flush, and a thorough inspection of the entire braking system.

Yeap it's your brake caliper, it's time to replace it, and your other one when most likely do the same within 3-6months of the other caliper. It rubs will your driving and produces a smell and your rim heats up to the point where you can't touch it. I've been there, and it sucks, it's definately your caplier sticking. You can buy a rebuilt one for next to nothing...
