I have a 2 door and the window broke a few days ago. You can hear the motor run when the switch is depressed up/down, but the window goes nowhere. The motor runs for the appropriate time and then stops. The bad thing is that it is down about 1/2 an inch which is really noisy (and it has been raining here this week).

Anybody have any tips to disassemble the door and maybe the fix?

 

The fix should be simple, I would wager that the clip holding the window to the motor was disconnected and simply needs to be reattached.

My mom's accord had that same problem and she took it to the dealership and got a nice bill for around $200. She can afford something like that though......not sure about yourself.

 

I won't go to the dealer. Acutally, it might be just a clip. The window goes down OK, but I have to lift it up and then hit the motor switch to move the motor up. It seems like something easy.

Any tips on getting the door panel off?
