Default I just got my 05 Accord Coupe so I need recommendations :D

Sorry but my name says it all , but I learn very fast tho. I got some question and I need help.

1. Can anyone recammand me some nice black deep dish rims and some decent suspension so I can drop it and make it handle better?

2. Can I just buy any rim and put them or does the 05 accord have shoe size?

3. If I was to drop my car just for looks.. how many inches? I don't want so low that everytime I go over a bump it sparks.

thanks :D

1. Depends what you want, do you want coilovers or springs. Visit the TEIN website for both of those, top of the line products for our cars there.

2. Recommend either a 17 or 18 inch rim, make sure you keep the outer diameter the same as before. Bolt pattern is 5x114.3 and offset anywhere from +35 to +45 is fine.

3. You can drop it anywhere from 1-3 inches and it will look fine. It all depends what you want and what you are looking for. If you drop it more than an inch, you are going to need an alignment kit (there are 2 of them on the market, Ingalls and Progress) and possibly new shocks.

If you need anymore help, just ask.

ok I think these are the rims I'm gonna get http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...QrdZ1

Do you think the 18ins will look nice on my accord? and do I have to buy new tires with them? also will those 18ins scratch my fenders? Sorry I'm a noob :D

you can't really get a TRUE dish dish in a FWD without messing up the ET/suspension.

there's alot of deep dish want to be with curve'd spokes, get what you like, if you like the stern, go for it.

one thing about the rims you looking at, they are pretty heavy at 28 lbs, my 15 is around 13lbs and my 17x8.5(casted) is 18.5lb

gas mileage and accerartion will suffer slightly, but if you just want a set of nice rims for everyday/show then it's fine.

Ground control and koni will give you a very reasonablely priced set up

+48 offset is really pushing the envelope.

iam7head is right on the money, he knows what he's talking about.

As far as the tire question, yes, you will need new tires, and they are going to have to be summer tires. I might suggest Yokohama AVS ES100, in something like 225/40/18. In order to keep the same outer diameter of stock, you need to do the calculations with your current stock tire, which is 205/65/15 or 205/60/16.

To do the math you need to do.
tread width * aspect ration * 2/2540 + tire width

Anywhere between +/- 1% of stock is acceptable and won't throw your speedo off by that much.

Good luck, if you need any more help, just ask.

I would recommend Kumho Ecsta SPTs for tires (save $40/tire and get better performance, NVH, and tire wear) and would really stay away from overly heavy rims. They will not only affect gas mileage and acceleration, but will also lengthen braking distances by quite a bit (more weight farther from the center of the hub). Finally, they will wear brake and suspension components much faster leading to more frequent expensive repairs. If you are tight on cash look at some Rotas.

Tein is not the best suspension.

+48 offset is not pushing it if he's worried about rubbing. If you dont want to rub dont get anything +38mm or lower if dropped. Id say get +42 or +45.

If you get tires get 225/40's. If your rims are +38mm then get 215/40 to reduce the chances of rubbing. If you want some decent summer tires id recommend the BF-Goodrich G-force Sports.

Deep lip rims usually have the lower offset and that causes the car to rub. The ones with big lips and high offsets dont look that great since the spokes are bowing inwards. They also wont clear BBk's if you choose to get a set.

Id say look for some lighter rims too. I had some heavy 2"lipped rims that look nice but killed me. Im now on some 18x8's that are 20.1lbs. My set before that was 18x7.5 and weight 18.1 lbs. Both of these were pretty cheap too!
