Clicking noise when turning but brand new axles & cvjoints
My Intgera has 234,000 miles. I just replaced the axles, so cv joints plus boots are brand new, no cuts, no leaks. When I turn left or right, it makes the same clicking noise as bad cv joints do but I don't think it's coming from the cv joints, I think it's somewhere in the center, may be the steering components. Don't know much about Steering components, what do you guys think it could be? It doesn't happen if I'm not accelerating, only when I'm turning and accelerating at the same time. Thank you in advance for your guys' help.
I had Autozone remans click during the first drive after install. So after going thru many remans thru them, free of course, I tried the new axles offered by Discount Auto Parts, and they don't click at all, but I have a vibration during acceleration. When I can't take it anymore, I am going to upgrade to Raxle axles, I have heard good things about them.
Clicking sounds like an axle. Did you get the axle seated all the way into the trans? If its a grinding it might be a wheel bearing? Sunday you can stop by my shop and I can take a peak at it for you if you havent gotten it figured out. N/C
