Default Help with engine issue. Boggin?

Hi everyone. Recently my rex is starting to, hard to explain in words, but i guess its boggin. When I'm cruising on the frwy it sounds like my car is poppin, but more of a low deep popping sound. The whole car jerks like crazy then i let off the gas and gas it again and seems to go away. Then it will come back. I am not sure if its the ignition or the clutch acting up. Does anyone know of possible causes for this. The shop I usually take it to, I can't get a hold of N E 1.

I'm running a B18C1 OBD0 PR3 ECU & S1 Tranny. Runs really rich so I advanced my timing a bit more than usual. I plan on doing a OBD0 to OBD1 and run a P72 ECU. But I need to remedy this issue b4 I buy stuff for the conversion.

Hope you can help. Thanks in advance.

have a similar problem cept more serious--hows your car idle? what I would do is just check your plugs and cap and rotor..maybe its a bad injector, im sorta just reiterating the advice i recieved haha

My Idle is fine just on occasions it would surge up and down, usually in the morning. I checked the cap and rotor and it looks fine to me. My plugs are fairly new. I'm using nology wires. My injectors are questionable. I may turn to OBD1 injectors, but maybe i should just get new 330cc from RC. My fuel pump is the stock DX. Will this cause the bogging? I know I should put a better one like a walbro 190, Ive heard the 220's are a bit noisy.

Well, Hopefully that converting to OBD1 will eliminate the boggin. The guys that did my swap, I guess, went the easy route of OBD0. I am staring to purchase everything I need for the OBD1 conversion.
