After autoxing 2 events last season, I decided to pick up a better set of autox pads...

After looking at a bunch of pads (Hawk HPS, HP+, Ultimates, R4S, Endless NA-Y) I decided on the Ultimates...

At first I was sort of skeptical...a) because the name, Axxis, but moreso because I hadn't heard much about them, other than what Andie Lin from Carbotech had said, which was all praise.

I talked briefly with Andie about the Hawks Vs Ultimates and finally ordered a front set.

With the ultimates I also picked up 2 new OE Brembo replacement rotors from Colletti motorsports.

After bedding and breaking in the rotors/pads, I attended an autocross at a go-kart track...the difference was slight, but noticeable. After changing back to me OEM pads today for street use, I definitely noticed a difference.


Ultimates: MUCH better initial bite. I didn't get anywhere near fade temperatures for either pad so I can't say much about that, but the Ultimates just gave a much better braking "feel" than the stockers.
