I have a 2001 Accord Ex 4 Cyl. and I would like to upgrade to the automatic climate control from the V-6. I can get the controls new from Honda for a good price, but is there anything else I would need other than the control unit? It looks like it would swap out pretty easy. Let me know. Thanks.

 

Yes, you would need many different things, such as inside temp sensor, outside temp sensor, sunlight sensor and different relays. There is MUCH MORE involved than simply swapping controls, and it is generally not worth trying to do.

 

That auto climate control just looks pretty thats all. When I set mine to like 80 degrees it blows like 60. Ihave tot urn it up to 90 for it to be even warm but then it gets really hot so I have to set it back down. The temp varies for some damn reason.

I wanted it too when I had my 4banger but that car got totalled and I got my v6 with auto. It would be cool to see someone do the swap but like Phil said theres a lot of sensors to wire up.

it got some sensors too..not worth it unless you can pull it out form a wreck

My climate control works great. I set at 75 and it is very comfortable.
