Killed my tranny
I was driving around today and when I went to shift into 3rd I heard a pop and the stick was super loose in 3rd. I then shifted thru every gear to make sure everything was fine which it appeared to be. I then was at a red light and when I shifted from 1st to 2nd it popped again and this time got stuck. I couldnt get it out and had to get my car towed. I wasnt driving the car that hard. Both times I had hit vtec but didnt slam it into gear or anything. Just wondering if this has happened to anyone before and if this sounds like a blown transmission.

damn dude the sucks and i just had a tranny problem yesterday as soon as I took my car off the lot after a 10k service second gear started grinding so i thot i just miss shifted it. So i put it in nuetral and then went thru all the gears and i noticed that all my top gears (1,3,5) go in smoothly but the lower gears (2,4,6,R) all have to be a little forced in. I have a B&M SS but this only happend AS SOON as i came out the Acura lot so i just pulled a U turn and told them.

I had a hard run the other night and I got some second gear grindage, When I made it to my friends house I couldnt get it out of second either. I let it sit for a couple minutes then went back out side and with a little force it popped out! It scared the hell out of me as well, but now its just fine!

So I got my car back. Thank god it wasnt a blown transmission all it was, was my sift linkage came off. Apparently my warranty is up tho so I had to pay the 110 bucks.

thats hell of alot cheaper than paying for a rebuilt tranny, tranny work is $$$$
