Default why does my crx forget its idle setting?

Since I got my crx, I've been trying to get control of how it idles.

As a foreword, I've cleaned my IACV, and religiously done tuneups, including valve lash, pcv, new distributor cap and rotor.

I've always used a digital RPM meter and followed the Helms manual for setting my idle. After putting in motor mounts, I felt like 750 was too rough for me, so I used the Helms procedure to turn it up to 800.

Ahh, much much better. But a few days later it seems my crx has decided to idle at 750 again all on its own. Is there something else that could be causing this to happen?

Yes, with the idle screw, using a multimeter to tell me the exact rpms. I follow the procedure exactly according the Helms FSM. It seems the idle is persistently set by the ECU, but I am wondering if its a voltage issue somewhere else along the line?

i did the same thing for my lude, the idle setting would not stay the same, after awhile i figured i should have set it when the motor was tottaly warmed up i drove it around for like 1 hour then set the idle then it stayed where i wanted it..i would also check the throttle cable and the throttle plate sometimes gunk can build up in there and cause it not to operate properly. one other thing the ecu will always try to find the best setting for optimal fuel consumption and emissions all the idle screw does is fool the ecu

Sounds like you need more RAM

Just kidding, I have a shitty idle too. Cant figure it out.
