Relocating 94-97 ABS modulator to install JDM ITR HID headlights...
I finally got around to relocating this huge monster of a thing in my engine bay
I thought I'd share some pics and also tell you all what I did in case anyone else has a 94-97 teg with ABS and also the JDM ITR HID headlights and are too lazy to remove the ABS altogether
......so lets go with the first pic....
Instead of fabricating a new bracket, I chose to go with the stock one.

I first took off the passenger side headlights and dry fitted the ABS modulator on there. I also had to carefully bend the brake lines ( if you don't feel confident in this, have a pro do it for ya, otherwise, you might kink the lines and f@@k your ride up ) so that I could relocate it in a position where the lines nor the ABS modulator would run into the ballast. Sorry....that part I didn't have a pic for. But basically, you would want to move the ABS modulator as far back as it can go and tad to the right ( towards the engine ).
Pic 2,3, 4, and 5.

As you can see....some cutting and welding needed to be done. Pic 4 shows that we had to cut off the tab that would normally extend towards the front of the car and bolts along the frame and re-weld because....well....it came apart
Pic 5 shows that some "trimming" had to be done so that the bracket would be clear enough to allow the ballast as well as the headlight to sit where its supposed to.
I should have gotten more pictures but I'll describe what needs to be done next. Once all this mumbo jumbo is done, you dry fit the assembly again with the headlight in place ( not bolted up ). Mark two holes for drilling. The two holes would be ( if you're looking straight down at it ) on the lower right hand corner and the upper left hand corner. Drill with the necessary bits and a bore to go about 3/8 inch if I remember correctly. Get a thread sert, put two in ( one in each hole you've drilled ) and bolt the bitch on.
Here's the final result:

Granted it doesn't sit straight, but it sure as hell ain't moving anywhere
And its pretty sturdy.
Total time....2 hours.

Thanks
Surprisingly it came out ok even though I wasn't trying to spend too much time into detail for it. Future plans involve a full race set up on the brake system involving a second master cylinder
So yeah...having it sit crooked for the time being doesn't bother me. Its going away in the near future.
Here's a peek of what it will look like. Of course...this pic is not from my ride, but a buddy of mine in the same crew

how would you synchronize the lines and the cylinders? Well i can see its a bracket/adapter to press both master cylinders. but he doesnt have a brake vacuum booster. also is this setup supposed to seperate the left brakes from the right? so one cylinder per side?
