Default Need info on how to run new hard lines for brakes?

Hey guys am looking into installing a proportioning valve in my Honda Challenge civic and will need to run new hard lines ao I need someone to tell me the basics of how to do this, and also the tools needed to do this, Also where I can get the stuff would be helpful.

I will appreciate any help anyone can offer. Also if you have done this pictures and tips ftrom expierance would be nice too.

this thread had some good info but not exactly what I am looking for https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1162437

Also I plan on running steel lines not stainless.

EDIT: I have desided to just use a OEM civic proportioning valve one but would still like to know how to do this just to know.

you can go to most auto parts stores like napa and get straight sections of hard lines
i usually use 3/16" x .028 for brake lines
you'll need a tubing bender, a flaring tool, and brake nuts 10mm*1.0 (and at least a 10mm flare nut wrench for the brake nuts)

i have brake nuts, brake nut unions, and a prop valve for sale if you need those items
the tubing bender and flaring tool can be found at most automotive parts stores, you can also get them from summit, jegs, etc

i suggest getting a lot of tubing (its cheap) and practice bending and using the flare tool, its not hard but with anything it takes a little practice

good luck with your project

If you are gonna use any stock honda componenets make sure u also get a bubbe flare kit or a kit that has bubble flare(most don't) there are 2 types of flare(well more but for your purposes 2) inverted which looks like )= and bubble which looks like (=, make sure u use the right flare when u have any connections, if not they'll leak.

In this application If I did it I would have been reusing the stock honda fittings. SO I would need the double flare right?

Yes, Hondas are double flare.

I made some brake lines when I took out my ABS and it does take a lot of practice before you can make good flares. Also make sure you use a flare nut wrench like everyone has said.
