sputtering and jerking problems

Default sputtering and jerking problems

when my car is at idle it is fine but when i shift it to first and try to drive off it starts sputtering and jerking it feel like as if u take a normal working car and try to drive it on 3rd gear on a full stop...it vibrates hard and wants to choke any suggestions? thanks

my car has the same problem, its a d16y7 turboed with just a fmu. ran fine until i punched it in 2nd then it started doing the sputtering and jerking thing when i start off. anyone know?

Is the check engine light on for either of you guys? If so, pull the code off the ecu and troubleshoot from there.

well i dont have either o2 sensor in, they were to hard to get out and i was tired. i just finished the car last night. i have a 96 civic hatch.

That could very well be your problem. Put the O2 sensor in and see if that helps.

make sure that your spark plug wires are right and that your running good fuel. also try cleaning the intake pipe and the throttle body. my b16 started doing that and i cleaned it out and it runs fine now. good luck

Does this continue on up the rev range? Or does it go away after a few 1000 rpms?

i had the same problem with my ef one day the car just started jerking like it was going to fast to shut off but it felt like it was stil trying to and all i had to do was put new plugs in and check all ur grounds.... goodluck
