Simple search and you'll find anything you want to know about any of the motors.

Quick info:
d15b6 - 88-91 Civic/CRX HF
62 hp
MPFI 1.5 L
Good motor if you want 45+ MPG city

 

well i know that much but do u know what they are out of

 

dpfi civics. those motors suck and are slow.

 

d15b2 = 88-91 civic/crx dx obd0,dpfi,90hp
d15b6 = 88-91 crx hf obd0,mpfi,60hp
d15b7 = 92-95 civic lx/dx obd1,mpfi,100hp

This is where I get to be a jerk and tell u that all 4 cyl. Honda motors are single head... Even tho I know u meant single cam.... Its just that I couldn't resist getting that one extra post b4 my prebedtime stool passing....

Back to the o.p.

Anyways take things off those motors that ppl usually need.... distributors,tps,map,then check the wtb forum or similar and wait for someone that needs one... Then make some easy cash... hell strip em down and scrap the metal... They're pretty much useless unless u wanna get some great gas milage....plus they were free... So either way its profit $$$

i say take the head off one of them, put a nice piece of glass on it and use it as a coffee table

find sum chump to buy em for 100 bucks a piece, they'll sell to sum 1

 

can't believe you guys are calling these engines garbage.. in stock form they may be slow,,but look at the d15b7,its obd1 ,mpfi and 100hp,,just put that in your car and do a homemade turbo......or look at the d15b6,,get a hf tranny and hf ecu and enjoy 50mpg.....and just sell the d15b2 or maybe tear it apart and put it back together for fun,if you screw up, so what

 

none of those engines are per say garbage hell id pay 200 for 3 of them and come up with 500 bucks, or build one to run good and keep it as a spare, if they are complete motors with distributors maniolds injectors and so on so on you got a whole bunch of good parts dont listen to these h-t a holes. alot of good info can be found on honda tech but there are alot of arogant ******** on here trying to be ********* for the purpose of being *********

 

Hey I agree with Mr. Speaker, not every engine needs to warp time and space. I think it would rock if someone gave me a free motor like the one in my '90 DX. It went 240 thou plus before it croaked and if it had been taken care of before I got it.....uh.......... and after I got it.............. it would be running now. There are still cams and manifolds and turbos available to make it dance pretty well.
Of course it doesn't have the ***** appeal of the DOHC motors. But then again I don't suffer terribly from DOHC envy
