Default drive shaft question

Are all 88-91usdm drive shafts the same?(besides the obvious difference in length between driver and passenger) The reason I ask is because I need shafts for a 89 DX hatch and I know someone who has shafts for sale from a 90. Same or no???

first of all we are talking about honda civics that are front wheel drive, not pick up trucks that are rear wheel drive, therefor they are called cv shafts, not drive shafts, just so ya know, and yes as long as they are from another 88-91 civic hatch, they will be the same, i swapped some 90's to a 89

i believe the CRX HF has a smaller hub so the outside part of the cv shaft is going to be different from the CRX SI. They are not compatible. Maybe the hatchback STD is the same as the HF, but im not sure on that.
