might have a new idea now......
OK i've been looking at an integra GSR for a very very long time. But i was bored so i thought i would check out the Prelude section!! DAMN these things are faster then the GSR...i tried searchin but didn't find much...what are the gen. and eng. i know h22a. Thanks and pics would helpj!! Also what would you pay for a i dunno year w/ under 100 k on it. Thanks!!
you're gonna have to be more specific when you ask how much you would pay for a car with less than 100,000 miles. like what year? 99? 92? that's a big time difference, and the same goes for the prices.
but yeah, ludes > gsr all day everyday.

well, you're at a right place to ask about preludes. you'll notice that most of the ppl here will tell you to go for the prelude over GSR. (and that's not because we own preludes, its because we really think they will outperform geezers
) but anyway, you want to look for a 93-up prelude VTEC. i've changed four preludes already (2nd gen, 3rd gen, and two fourth gens.) and i had nothing but good experiences with them. i beat my friends geezers regularly and i would personaly take a prelude over a GSR nay day. don't get me wrong, i like them but prelude is just more joyfull to drive, has more torque, bigger, wider, lower, more luxurious, etc.etc. a good preice to pay for a prelude VTEC 93-94 is up to $9000, 95-96 up to $10000-11000 (depending on condition and mileage) and 97-up between $12000 and $15000 (excluding 2000-2001 models, those will be a little more expensive).
preludes rock! good luck to you

my only conern on the 93-96 is that the center console i heard is reall really wierd. Like it's old school, does anybody have any pics. of there dash, because i want to know what they look like. Also what would i take if i got a 93 vtec to get into 13s??
The electronic dashes are pretty cool on the 4th gen. The speedo and tach are still analog, not digital like the s2000 or anything, but you only see the whole dash instrument assembly when you have the parking lights on. When the car is off, the dash looks like a black void. Its pretty cool. My friend's mom has a 96 automatic ( when they got it in 2000 it had only 6 original miles, thats 6 not 6,000 - don't ask
Anyway, the dash is pretty cool, all of the small gages (like fuel and temp) are digital unlike the speedo and tach. The only thing some people might not like about them is that they are spread throughout the length of the dash so that some indicators are actually right in fron of the passanger, it doesn't bother me. I think the electronic dash was an option so you can find lude with regular dashes.
As for price, you should be able to find a really nice 93-96 si vtec for $10,000 - $12,000 depending on year. There are some advantages in a 4th gen. First of all, price, gearing is a bit closer, and many people say weight - though I personally think the difference is negligible. I decided to go for a 5th gen because of the styling (the front grew on me), and it looks classier to me, also the structural rigidity is a bit better too. Whichever one you go for good luck - they are all great cars.

Yeha about the dash the 94-96 dash is really cool...I defintely wouldn't call it oldschool...everyone person that sits in my car comments on it....and that's a good thing. They're like wow I've bever seen a dash that goes all the way across like that!
