Since you don't want Alpine or JL, look into the Rockfors Fosgate, Hifonics, or MTX amps. Even though first on my list would be Alpine or JL.......but thats just me.

nope, I hate there amps. If your trying to pound don't go that direction. And this is because I just did integecraze car two months ago. His sub amp has been blown twice. and it run hot. And this is at 4 ohm. with the gains turned low

 

Used a Clarion amp before and never again. It gave some real stupid problems like over heating with the gains set at 1/2. It was retarded.

zed amps are built like tanks - for those who have not felt one personally, really, you have no clue - these are serious amplifiers

While his amps may be "no-name" the designer Steven Mantz is very well known.

Looking at his current designs and knowing his older designs I would say you are basically buying an Autotek Mean machine repackaged for a fraction of the cost.
