Default Steering wheel shakes when braking...pls help

When I push the brake down to slow down I can feel the steering wheel shaking pretty hard and the car shakes a bit when slowing down. What would cause this my ABS light has been on since I have had the car but the seller said it was just a faulty sensor or something. I dunno... But I am concerned about the shaking, can someone please gimme some advice, Thanks!

replace the front rotors, dont machine them. The two wheels may be spinning at just enough of an uneven rate to set the ABS light, fix the shaking and I bet the light will stay out.

Vibration on braking: Usually a warped rotor, or tire out of balance. Rotors need to be turned or replaced.

ABS light on: Check your fluid level in the master cylinder. That is usually the problem %90 of the time.
