knock sensor question. (not the usual)

Default knock sensor question. (not the usual)

i need to know if i just groiund out my knock sensor wire from the ecu if it will run fine still. i was told this by a good honda machanic that works at alocal shop. he has planty of experiance. and even tho i already did this i would like to know if this would work to get rid of the code. i would find out but my car wont start. (starter problem not knock sensor dont worry.

you hear people say "oh just ground it out" all the time, but they never explain.. what you do is cut the wire at the ecu clip for knock sensor (leave some slack),then put a single speaker wire from it to a piezo transducer ,,you put the wire to the + on the piezo and the - on the piezo goes to a good ground..then put the piezo transducer somewhere on the motor so it will get a good vibration,,like the intake manifold or whatever..

thanks. what is a piezo transducer. and it sounds like this makes for sense. thanks
