quick 4th gen fog light question
i'm using an aftermarket 30amp 12v switch for my fogs. i got to the wiring harness for the fogs fine, and there is 3 wires. 2 are red with stripes that i found are connected to each headlight. the third is orange. how would i wire it?
the switch has 3 connections; on power, on load, and ground
do i have to connect the 2 red ones? when i touch the 2, i hear the relay click...what does this mean? so where would i wire the 2 red wires and the orange one? also im guessing i have to run an extra wire from the ground connection to the chasis? what kind of wire will do for this?

i did the same thing.
just keep playing with the wires on the leads, so that there is only 1 wire per lead.
eventually you'll get it right.

so i see that u had the 2 reds separate. i cant see what u did with the orange. did u connect it to the chasis or to the ground port of the switch?

ok thanks...so i take it that one red goes to power, the other goes to load, and the orange goes to ground. i have it like that and theyre not coming on for me. i hear the relay click when i hit the switch. so now my guess is that either the harnesses for the fogs themselves arent connected properly or the bulbs are burned out. thanks for your help though.
check the bulbs first and foremost. when i was installing mine, i was getting extremely aggravated that only one was working..... til i saw the other was burned out
Instead of making a new thread im just gonna post in this :D
I got a 92 prelude and the switch connector should be behind the tweeter cover rite?
But all I found behind there was this:

Any suggestions?

thats not the fog harness. im almost positive its brown. i had to dig for mine for a few minutes and cut up my hand pretty good. i dont remember if mine was taped to something else but i just took my time and got it. then realized that i had bought a 94 fog switch
lol

I havent looked for mine...But I was wanting someone to post pix of what I should be looking for. Should be getting my fogs the early part of next week. If M2B4 would hurry up and send them!
lol ill ship em out 2 day. so im guessing ima havta tap into the fog connector behind tweeter cover and run it down to the center console? right? as soon as whitebb2 sends me the 93 console.....
Hm, someone says its brown and someone says its the green one?!
The blue one you see in my picture is for my rear foglight so I thought the one for my front fogs it would look something like that? ehhe

ah, so the switch is actually IN the tweeter cover?
Well that explains it then, hehe, ty for the pic btw.
Now anyone got a switch for sale?
Or anyone can tell me how to connect that to a "custom" switch?

Woho!
Ok I made the fogs work without the switch.
They even work when I got park lights on to, check pictures.
PS. I love honda-tech!
And the fogs are not mounted yet (waiting for my stock bumper to be mounted)

im still having trouble.
my switch has an led that shows me when it's on.
when i put the orange on ground and red/yellow stripe on power, the led lights up. however when i put red/green stripe on the load, then the led light goes off.
however i only hear the relay click with the switch when i flip it and at times that the light doesnt come on (when all 3 wires are connected). but if i connect only 2 wires, the switch led light does come on, but i dont hear the relay click.
