Could someone please give me a step by step guide to installing shifter cables with the motor in car, or at least tell me how difficult it may or may not be? I was driving my car last night and did a hard shift in 2nd gear and the shifter cable snapped from the shifter assembly on the right hand side.

 

The clips connecting through the firewall can be a bit difficult but besides those it's all very simple.

 

I know I Have to remove the entire consol and from there like you said remove the clips from the firewall. Are these clips hard to get off or are they hard to remove or both? Any tips or suggestions would help thank you.

 

Well, everything uses cotter pins so you just have to use some pliers to get those out and then a flat head screwdriver should pry everything apart.

 

How do you expect to get help when you dont Say the Year and Model?
