Default Keyless Entry

I have a base fit and am looking at buying the keyless entry add on kit from http://www.handaaccessories.com and then buying a key with the remote attached. Would it be possible to get the 06-07 accord key/remote combo programmed and cut to work with my fit?

You possibly could, but I bet it would cost quite a bit more than $108. Ive heard dealers wanting $150+ for each of those keys.

no, it would not be possible to use a Accord key, they use a different frequecy then the FiT, and i believe the FiT keyless accessory is just a ramote, not a remote key like teh sport, but i'll look into that more when i go into work today.

No, only the Sport model has a remote key, the base models get a regular remote, seperate from teh key, however i'm sure a Sport key could be used on a base, inwhich case would require keyless and alarm installation, since they are 2 different accessories from factory, meaning not the same kit.

Here is the first page from teh installation instructions of the keyless entry system, which if you look closely it's a remote, not a key, as i previously have stated, however again i'm sure you could use a sport key aslong it accept teh same frequency.

Also just to re-iterate, a Accord key can't be used since it have a different frequency, not even to start the car.

If you buy that kit for $108 from H and A it will have everything you need to install and program. I bought that kit for my base model Fit.
