DC2 Console Install
Decided to see just how well a DC2 console DID work in a EF.
Now it does "sorta" just bolt in and away ya go, but then again it doesn't. The screw on the right side goes in fine, but the one on the left you need to drill a new hole into the steel that holds the climate controls and stereo (I haven't done yet) to accomodate the one on the left. So its not a direct plug and play.
Also there are gaps that are underneath the console as it doesn't sit completely flush against the carpet. My Si seats (89 hatch) rub pretty hard against the console, so we'll see what lasts longer, the console or my seats. Its tougher to lean the seats forward now as it rubs on the console.
It appears the DC2 console is probably a few inches wider thus not allowing a perfect fitment, but I do like the way it looks and now I have cupholders :D. I have still have a few things to sort out with it but other than that, its in.
Heres a few pics.

typical Si seats with a slight gooey stain on the passenger and the worn thru bolster on the driver
This is the gap on the left side, that will be fixed once I get ahold of the drill and the empty spot in the center will be filled with a couple of gauges (water temp and oil pressure) once I purchase those.
