Default Anyone running 18'' rims on 5th gen? (searched)

If so what offset and tire size. Any rubbing? How bad is it? Any pictures would
be great.

When I bought my 00Base the prev owner put 18" Konigs on it. 18x8 +40 off set to be exact. They were too big, offset put them too far out and with 245-45r18 they rubbed the fenders out back really bad on any bump and that was at factory ride height. I guess you could run 18x7.5 with atleast +45 offset and 215-35r18 but IMO, I don't think it would look good. I pulled the Konigs and installed Wedsport 17x7.5 +48 offset with 215-40r17 Ecstas but on the next set of tires would like to go to 225-45r17. Just my thoughts, I could be wrong. Wj

x3

Forget the 18's, they're too small! Go for 20's and slap a couple of these on your fenders:

this is honda-tech, if it isn''t 15's or 16's or JDM your not gonna get any love....

i had 18's they were 18x7.5 with a 45 offset i ran 225/40 on there i had rolled my fenders as much as i can with out body work, and it still rubbed. i think if you were to put 18x7.5 with a 48 or 50 offset and 215/40 tires u should b cool.... but thats just my $0.02....

16" is more then big enough. Why not spend the extra cash on some 11lb 16" Volks rather then some big *** 18" 20lb bling wheel ? If having your prelude look like a truck is your thing, have a good time. Smaller lighter wheel = faster acceleration.

Didn't mean it to be harsh, it's his car & he can do what he likes, I just think it looks strange & out of place, and I'd be concerned w/ getting a ticket personally....

Like what most people say, it depends on the set-up, if its for racing or looks. But I had 18s and I regreted it. I agree with other people that it made the lude look tall and I couldn't drop my Tein coilovers as low as I wanted because of rubbing even though I rolled the fenders. It doesn't really look nice with wheelgap (even a lttile bit)in my opinion. I had to learn the hard way by putting 18x7.5 with 42+ offset with 225/40/18 tires. I kno, its not the reccommended specs for dropping a lude on 18s, but I didn't want to put 35 rubberband tires on my rims, because to me, 35 profile kinda made the car look weak. I sold the 18s to someone at my job for a reasonable price for being hardly used. Right now I'm on 17s (G-Games Wolf 77 Silver) with a 215/40/17 profile Falken Ziex ZE-512 tires. The tires tucking in a little without any rubbing, and being slammed on 17s with a full OEM Lip Kit looks nicer than the 18s . Now I just need to get my damn lip kit color matched to finish my car . As far as looks, it just my opinion, some people may think a 35 series or wheel gap looks nice.
