D15B2...D16A1 Head
OK, first off, I am bouncing around ideas here so please bear with me. I bought a 90 D16A6 head with all the sensors, cam, intake manifold with all sensors and throttle body, and the distributor still attached for $100. I have an 89 D15B2 bottom end that I am in the process of rebuilding as I type. Now here's the wierd part, I just checked my e-mail and I won a D16A1 head with both cams, all valves, and all rockers for $5. But it is JUST the head assembly. No Intake manifold, no distributor, no valve cover, no cam gears, no nothing else. What are your opinions on what you think I should do? Should I take the intake manifold and swap it onto the D16A1 DOHC head, sell the D16A6 head, buy the gears, the distributor, and valve cover and roll with that? I'm confused now because I heard that the D16A1 head is one of the best swaps to do on the D15B2. Also, I bought a 91 Si 5-speed tranny and I have the shift linkage, the pedal assembly, the shifter, F1 Racing stage 3 clutch and 8.5lb flywheel, now all I need is an ECU. Should I use a different ECU than the PM6? I don't understand what I need to do now. Do I NEED a different ECU for it to run the D16A1 head? Will the intake mani even bolt up? I'm clueless. I need a Honda fuel rail with the regulator still installed or should I get an aftermarket one? Any insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

OK dudes. I'm a dick cheese. I just googled it like I should have in the first place and found my answer. My problem is is that I bought D16 piston rings and I have the D15B2. They are all 75mm bore right so it shouldn't matter right? Please tell me they will work.
