Hard to get into gear?
I have a gsr motor with b16 tranny in my dc2. Most of the time when I'm driving it is hard to get into all gears, especially 1st. Changed and made sure fluid was in the tranny twice and still hard to get into gear. No grinds or anything and tranny was perfect before i installed it. Sometimes out of no where it will be easy to go in gears, but then drive again and stop then will be really hard to get back into 1st. Shiftlinkage messed up possibly? Anyone?
It Could be linkage or maybe ur synchros are about to go..Also check your clutch..maybe it isn't fully disengaging. I had the same problem and it was linked to my clutch.

My bet is that something on the clutch disc broke or popped out, like one of the springs in the clutch hub. Same thing happened at the end of my OEM clutch's life at 135K miles, when I pulled the tranny I found a chunk of metal next to one of the springs had broken off, and I guess kept it from fully disengaging. It made it hard to shift as you described.
New clutch time.

Yea, I installed a brand new xtd stage 2 clutch with xtd 8lb flywheel. Clutch does not grab until pedal is almost fully released (junk
). When I let off the clutch in 1st it hesistates and shakes alittle, so not properly disengaging and like said above a spring could have popped out. I just hope the tranny is fine, cuz i plan to get a new clutch. Any other ideas?

we all have that problem, gives me nightmares.
seriously tho, when you cant get your shifter into gear, try the other 4 and release clutch enough to bog down the rpm's ever so slightly, then do that again, 1st that is. Maybe its new, maybe its not, what works tho.
