im runnin an oem hardtop and ive been gettin this annoying squeek lately over little bumps, is there and adjustment i'm not seeing in the front latches ? if i undo the pass side latch it gets rid of it completely. ive tried lubing every part of it and nothing has fixed it yet, so i'm just thinking it need to be tighter ?

 

re-tighten the latches.. if that doesn't help.. get some shin etsu greese and put them on all rubber parts of the top...

 

is the dealer the only place to get that grease ?

 

If all else fails, you can also purchase the upgraded factory latches from hardtopguy. They are supposed to be much sturdier and reduce noise from up front with the HT.

holy **** i love you, i found a brand new tube of it sittin with the spare tire jack in my trunk... and it worked perfectly!!!!! if i ever meet you i owe you beer(s)

 

you'll need to grease up the weatherstripping, especially towards the rear of the top every now and then when you get the squeaks. That stuff aint cheap either considering it's urea grease
