Default Looking for tips on weight savings in my DA...

Hey guys, like the title says. I have a general idea of what I need to do, but am wondering if you have any other pointers. I am going all motor, LS-V. I am planning the following:

1-A/C & PS will be removed (including all lines, pumps, etc)
2- Rear wiper and motor
3- All "tar" sound deadening material

Will removing the rear-seat and all the paneling really save me that much weight? Also, does anyone know of a lightweight hatch available for the DA Integra? Please help me out.

Thanks!

carbon fiber hatch (VIS i think). Remove ABS if you have it. different seats (memory fab). convert to roll up windows if not already.

but dont worry too much about weight.. you might save 100 pounds. just make a more powerfull engine lol.

make sure you take off all the emblems and get a AEM license plate holder too(theyre lightweight and give you 10hp to the wheel) lol jp, but what this guy said, just try to build a powerful motor and then worry about the weight later! FTW!

I wouldn't worry about a carbon hatch,The weight reduction compared to the price is not really worth it imo,I would be more consered about replace the rear hatch glass(64lbs).

lol love it

ya lexan rear window, 15inch light weight rims, lightweight drivers seat.

but for the amount of a carbon hatch and hood and drivers seat, you can buy some amazing valvetrain which would be do much more than weight savings.

Hrmmmm... I had a DA as my DD and I wanted to see how much I can loose weight off of it. I left in the sound deadening tar cause I don't want to hear the noise. Only noise I want to hear is the modified engine. That's about it.

JDM front bumper support (3.5 lbs)
JDM rear bumper support (3.5 lbs)
Remove Cruise electronic components
Remove P/S & Accessories
Remove A/C & Accessories
Remove Metal brackets from under the dash
Remove Metal brackets from behind the rear seats
Remove Power Antenna - Must cover the hole either with a seal or shaved it
Remove Intake bottom portion
Remove Dashpot on the Intake Manifold
Replace ABS with Non-ABS components
Replace steel wheel(30-35lbs w/tires) with lighter ones(gsr 20-22lbs w/tires)
(Optional) take out spare tires & accessories
Convert to OBD1 to remove other electronics accessories
Lower springs and kyb gr2 shocks
Carbon Fiber / Fiberglass Hood
Carbon Fiber / Fiberglass Trunk
Carbon Fiber / Fiberglass Doors
Lexan Front Windshield
No subwoofer and amp
