race header question please help

Default race header question please help

just put on my race header on my 02 type s and the check ingen light when on i got a scanner and it gave me this code P1166 does any buddy know what it is and how can i fix it thanks

that's because you put a RACE header on.

I think the solution is dummy o2 sensors. I'm not too sure though, I've never experienced that first hand, but if you bought a header that said specifically it was a RACE header, and not a STREET header, then you should expect a CEL.

its suppost to trick the computer so the light doesent go on

Why? You already got the answer. YOU HAVE A RACE HEADER, THERE IS NO CAT. You need to use an 02 sim, or a spacer so the sensors will read different and not set off the CEL. End of story, you dont need anyone else with a raceheader to post.

u should check out ivtecdaily.com for some help on that problem of yours i kno its something that has to do w/ a defouler and a spark plug....check it out though might be the solution to your problem

The problem is the 02 end of story.

Solution:

A- buy a 02 sim
B- Use a spacer
