Tokico blues & Skunk2 spring problem
Ok well heres the deal, ive had my blues and skunks on my DA for a few months now and im pretty happy with the overall ride quality and such. but today i was talking to my buddy and he had asked if i had trimmed 1/3 off the bumpstops. now i was thinking, why would i need to do this? well aparently i need to trim them because with the skunks it wont have enough travel? i mean yeah the ride is stiffer and thats expected and yes potholes are my worst enemy but would trimming the bumpstops actually give me a bit more shock travel thus lessening the harshness of rough surfaces such as potholes and sunken sewage caps? i was VERY skepical of this and almost went and did it but i thought der why dont i ask you guys at HT for your opinion/knowlge lol. sorry for the essay and any feedback would be greaty apreciated thanks alot HT!
I cut my bump stops. If not, the shocks are not going to able to do their job(absorbing) "rough surfaces" and such. 1/3 off would be fine.

my old H&R springs said to NOT cut the bumpstops, so I didn't. But they lowered my car so much that after a year or so when I pulled my suspension off the car, the rear bumpstops had disintegrated into dust.
Yes I would cut them, maybe cut 1/2 off.
