buying an ITR
As the topic says im looking at buying a new car and found an ITR that looks promising. I ran a carfax and it came up clean except for 1 reported accident and in the column it says "very severe damage reported". Ofcourse this has me spooked. Normaly i would ask for to see the repair papers, but according to carfax it was in an accident under the first owner. And this guy is the 2nd.
Are there any tell tale signs i should be looking for? I know to check and make sure the VIN all match up but other than that im fairly clueless.
thanks again
p.s i ran a search and didnt find much, but ill keep at it.

honestly, if it says it was in an accident i wouldn't buy it. pay a little more money and get one that is accident free and clean.
if you do decide to get it, at least check for vins, and also run your fingers along the gaps of the body panels. make sure it is smooth and nothing is crooked. also check for paint discoloring. you can tell if something has been repainted if the body shop didn't do a good job.
good luck in your search for an R.
