Default Comptech Supercharger Shipments

I just spoke with Comptech, they say they have shipped out about 9 supercharges since the release.

Anyone on here one of those 9? I am really interested in this mod, but would like to get other drivers option before slapping down the four G's.

Thanks

hey man if you got 4g's to slap down deginitely go for it, comptech is a proven company one of the absolute best, unless you wanna go grab the greddy turbo, that would always be 4g's well spent as well!!!

Did they give you any specifics on the header? I'm curious to see what it's made of, is it a race header only or can you keep your cat and what kind of gains are they getting. Not to mention price...

I have the SC si. You guys may have seen my si on a few sites or on here, hot import ngihts etc. The header (shorty) doesnt produce much unkless u have a cat back. the race header was tested on my car and didnt produce what they wanted so made another. they tested it on another si since mine is done already and i havent heard back. I saw the other car it was on and i took a pic with an old cell phone but the pic sucks and i got a new phone its stainless steel and is VERY nice. I have the shorty but some old guy has the race header. Kit is AWESOME. im only at the stock psi which is like 4 but its still fast. When they get done with the pulley they are going to call me

I can account for 2 of the 9 kits. I received mine on Friday. The 2nd kit is for sale.

PM me for info if you're interested in the 2nd kit.

Hopefully the snow holds off, and I can get to DMV to register my winter beater EG so I can install the kit this weekend at Honda.

So tRex99, living is Sac, you must have to endure stop and go traffic quite a bit, any issues with the SC in this type of driving?

Are you still running the SC with the race header? I was not clear from your post if you kept the header or not. If you did keep it, how are you going to get it smogged? I am hoping to run the short header so I could keep the cat, and keep the car smogged.

Edit: Never mind the above question, I re-read your post, you have the shorty header so your car is still smoggable.

Last question, what intake you running with the SC, stock?

I am afraid I don't understand what you mean regarding the "pulley". Is there something with the kit they are changing?

Thanks

The Comptech Supercharger is a roots style kit and is belt driven. Boost pressure depends on the size of the pulley that the belt spins. Comptech has other 'stages' and smaller pulleys for other kits, but not yet for the 06 Si kit. With a smaller pulley from comptech, you run more boost, which equates to more output.

Also... Selling 1 of the 9 kits for $3650 SHIPPED. No waiting, no pre-order crap.

I am using my stock intake. short header. as for a race header check this out. I went to the dmv, i dont have to smog my car till 2011. I want to get a race header and u can use spark plug defoulers instead of a o2sim and spending all that money. It runs great in traffic. ofcourse we dont always love stick in traffic. no probs with the SC. As for the pulley i was just saying they are making an upgrade pulley u can buy to boost more. probably take u to 7psi. see the sc i think goes from .5psi to 6psi then around 6500 drops to 4.5 psi. so after 1st gear ur only at 4.5psi almost the whole time. So ths pulle should make it go to 8psi and drop to 6.5. there should be a way to stop that through vaccum. i know some people have done it but i havent got all the facts yet so i havent done it. Should leave the buterfly closed for the bypass valve so u hold 8psi or in my case 6psi. im working on that.
