Honda Ridgeline......
for a while honda made a tiny little truck that was only available in the Japan. it wasn't meant for the street or anything, it was more of a utility truck type of deal that only did like 60km/h or something around there. that however doesnt look like the truck im thinking of so maybe they did something like that too but it looks kind of like a custom project to me. the three things that make me think that are the mirrors, the fuel fill door, and that bumber. who knows though
Ok, first off it's certainly not JDM. If you notice it is left hand drive, so that eliminates the possibility of being JDM or even UKDM. Which pretty much leaves only a few possibilites. Looking at the scenery it looks like the US to me. It almost looks like they took one of the OLD OLD Honda hatchbacks like the s100 or something similar and hacked it into a truck. IMO...

Well it's definately not Japanese as was stated earlier about it being left hand drive. And it's definately in the U.S., seeing as if you take a closer look at the license plate you'll see it's a New York vehicle. Definately looks like someone chopped up an older honda hatch, but you never know. Maybe the owner surfs this forum and will chime in.

my thoughts exactly, with the curve of the back end it looks like they merged an older isuzu onto a honda hatchback and made one unique vehicle.

Yeah, from the looks of the tail lights and all. It looks like this one is a chopped version of the car in the 4th picture.

This is a quote from an ebay auction description selling one of these.
"I bought this truck in 1990. I drove it 300 miles home on the highway at 70 mph. This truck was sold in 1972 and a company in California converted 50 Honda 600 sedans to pickup trucks. As far as I can determine, there are only 3 of the 50 produced in existence. The original owner had driven the truck very little but I can not verify the mileage. I have had much work done on it over the years including exterior paint about 5 years ago (it has a few small spots of bubbling and cracking in the paint which could easily be touched up). The tires and batteries are new and it recently had a complete tune up. I had a new starter and new alternator installed a few years ago. The interior seats could be reupholstered as they are cracked and torn from the truck being stored for so long, not from wear. I have entered this truck in many local antique car shows and it always draws a crowd. It appears much smaller than the Honda 600 sedan or coupe because there is so much less of the body. I recently drove this truck on a 350 mile trip on the highway and it performed perfectly getting about 50 miles to the gallon. It has a 600 cc 2 cylinder engine and is front wheel drive. This truck is very dependable and I recently drove it on a weekly basis with no problems. I believe it could be enjoyed for many years as-is or a small amount of cosmetic work could be done to it, if desired. This car is currently registered and inspected in New York state."

I looked for pics on the net but couldn't find any. I know for a fact that Honda made a truck based of the City platform. There are two for sale in our local auto trader.

Good job super sleuth. Did the New York tags give it away or was it your uncanny ability to pinpoint geographic locations.

Look at its unibody design. No pickup would ever be unibody. For example of REAL trucks check out http://www.chevy.com http://www.ford.com and the best of them all http://www.toyota.com
